June Is Pride Month (#different2gether)

An hour ago, Jenny posted something in her WoozIn that did not quite suprised me 

She said that This month we're celebrating tolerance and acceptance and respect for others and ourselves So, As part of #different2gether, We are celebrating JUNE PRIDE MONTH!

That means WoozWorld is supporting LGBTQ+(gays,lesbians,bisexual,transexual and queer)

This month, we’ve been promoting tolerance, respect, and acceptance, of both others and ourselves, as part of the #different2gether campaign. The rainbow-splotch #different2gether SymbZ represents a committment to this movement.

June is International Pride Month, and LGBTQ+ visibility, awareness, and pride have been a big part of the #different2gether movement in Woozworld. While the political and social situation for gays, lesbians, bisexual, transexual, queer and questioning people around the world has improved over the years, progress has been very slow, and we’ve still got a long way to go. In many places in the world, LGBTQ+ people are still judged based on a single aspect of their identity. From such superficial judgements come intolerance, bullying, violence, and injustice. LGBTQ+ people are often stigmatized (looked down on) or feared. If you have lived your life feeling “different,” remember that what needs to change is not you becoming “normal,” but rather others accepting you as you are. That’s #different2gether.

In Woozworld, we believe in loving, supporting, and caring for others and ourselves, period. If you’ve experienced intolerance, bullying, or even violence due to your gender or sexuality, we’re here to support you. However, we are not experts! We’ve included the links to some of the many sites that focus on these issues. Keep in mind that there are more location-specific resources available to LGBTQ+ tweens and teens in your area, as well as online.
